It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of The Draft Bar. I have had an amazing eight years in the business serving both SHSU students and Huntsville residents and am thankful to have had the opportunity to make many lasting memories along the way.
However, the time has come for me to now spend time with my three sons and focus on being a better dad to each of them. This industry requires around the clock focus and many times requires me to miss important events in their lives. I have come to realize that more important than toys is time and this decision will allow me to give them far more time than I have ever been able to before.
So, thank you! All of you. You have helped in my quest to own a successful establishment and without you, I would not have been able to provide for my family. I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors and will forever hold dear to me the memories we have all made along the way.
Saturday will be our last day open and I encourage all of you to come and enjoy the remaining inventory that we will have on hand. We will work to sell as much remaining items as we have but at the close of business, the doors will no longer re-open. This Sunday, Father’s Day, I will surprise my kids with the news and enjoy my time with them like never before. I encourage all of you to do the same if possible. Chasing the dollar is something many of us will do in our lifetime. Just don’t ever lose site of how much time it may take away from your loved ones. I did, and now it is my turn to make things right.
